"DOROT has created a unique community via telephone conference calls that enable those with limited mobility to join in lively, stimulating classes, make new friends, get and give emotional support, and celebrate the holidays."

Senior classes and support groups are led by professionals and volunteers who enjoy sharing their expertise and enjoy learning from class participants.
Senior class topics include: the arts, history, health, current events, and more.
Seniors and facilitators can be connected from any location in the U.S. equipped with a telephone, and all participants can speak to and hear each other.
The "DOROT" organization also runs similar programs entitled: “Russian University Without Walls” for Russian-speaking seniors, and “Caregivers’ Connections,” an educational and support network for caregivers.
DOROT aims to encourage volunteers to improve the lives and health of not only Jewish elderly but all older adults. The organization also addresses the challenges of an aging society.
