SENIOR ACTION FAIR PROGRAM

Program Description

The Senior Action Fair is held in conjunction with a multitude of local organizations providing a large amount of community support, empowerment and solidarity for older adults.

Each organization sets up their own booth where seniors can pick up valuable information and freebies.

An agenda for the day is distributed consisting of various guest speakers who effectively inform and empower seniors on issues such as scams related to homes, health, finances and much more.

Organizations involved include: local Police Departments, Adult Protective Services, United States Postal Inspectors, Federal Trade Commission, California Department of Insurance, California Department of Corporations, Los Angeles County Department of Consumer Affairs, Center for Health Care Rights and more.

The free event is held in various parts of the Los Angeles area through out the year and treats seniors to breakfast and lunch.
