Program Description
Senior citizens must agree and register to be a part of the "Senior Citizen Cell" Program
The New Delhi police provide senior services such as:
-Home visits to seniors to look into the physical security of the home giving them a better sense of security and confidence
-The status of domestic help and spouse is verified and put on file
-Coordinating safety and security of senior citizens with the help of area police
-Monitoring and checking in on registered senior citizens by calling seniors on the phone on regular basis
-Helping senior citizens with personal problems
-Regular advise, tips, do's and don'ts on security and safety measures for senior citizens
-Encouraging regular social interaction of senior citizens in the neighborhood
Senior citizens are advised to display the phone numbers of relatives and friends near the telephone so that they are able to be contacted in case of emergency.
