Program Description

"In the course of meeting and talking with managers and professionals around the country, it became apparent that many local facilities were developing strategies and programs to improve care and provide better services to their residents. And many were doing so without recognition. Why not, we thought, find a way to reward these people and pass along their successes for other facilities to learn from?"

-Glen Duncan, Co-creator of Optima Awards - ltlmagazine.com

The "OPTIMA Awards" Program is open to all elder nursing care homes and assisted living facilities across the United States and stem from the idea of optimum performance by caregiving staff, optimum quality of care, and the optimum caregiving experience in healthcare.

The "OPTIMA Awards" Program serve as a model for other nursing facilities by reinforcing the concepts of promoting a culture change in nursing homes, focusing on a resident-focused or person-centered care and improving the overall operations of elder nursing care homes.
