Program Description
The "Adult Guardianship Family Caregiver Mediation Training" Program is mainly for
experienced mediators who would like to gain skills in how to deal with adult guardianship disputes or when there is a family conflict over who should take care of mom or dad or an elderly relative and the conflicts that arise from all of a sudden feeling as though they are "parenting parents."
The "Adult Guardianship Family Caregiver Mediation Training" Program is also of value to judges, court administrators, and others considering or involved in establishing adult guardianship or conservatorship mediation programs in their states or local jurisdictions.
The "Center for Social Gerontology" has also produced a video entitled "Adult Guardianship Mediation: An Introduction which presents a demonstration of a guardianship mediation, using actors to portray family members and is narrated by Academy of Family Mediators Past President Zena Zumeta.
