Music has the power to stir emotions and memories which may help improve mental health and well-being.
Beyond the music the program bonds community members of all ages and has a lasting impact.
While students enjoy performing for and engaging with older adults, they also receive wisdom and love to hear the memories their music brings back.
Older adults and students share intergenerational connections with the universal language of music.
Community members of all ages have the opportunity to share memorable experiences. Students enjoy performing for and engaging with older adults and also receive wisdom and love. Older adults may relive memories and stories that music brings back.
In addition to intergenerational concerts, Concerts in Motion also provides homebound concerts that connect isolated seniors with professional musicians from their own community along with community concerts for groups at senior living, senior centers, rehab facilities, hospitals, veteran centers, and more.
