Program Description

“Actual physical development of nerve pathways around the plaques and tangles found in the brains of Alzheimer’s patients have been clinically observed in seniors who actively learn new skills.”
- The Drum Workshop Inc.

The idea behind of the "Drum Workshop" memory program is that by challenging those with Alzheimer's, dementia, or memory loss to learn and play music, new pathways will be created for neuro-muscular function leading to possible memory loss prevention.

Playing music is a unique way for those with dementia to practice mind fitness.

The physical exercise is beneficial to those with Alzheimer's, dementia, or memory loss and being a part of a group with a common goal provides opportunities for social interaction.

Participants in the "Drum Workshop" memory program have seen improvement in coordination and overall confidence.
