Program Description

The Elder Abuse Curriculum training covers topic such as:

-The Physiology of Aging
-Identifying Elder Abuse and Neglect
-Crafting Appropriate Responses
-Responding to Elder Abuse: What Judges and Court Personnel Should Know
-Skills in Elder Abuse Cases Workshop

The Elders and Courts website has a useful interactive map of states and their respective elder laws on Elder Abuse, Guardianships, Conservatorships Durable Power of Attorney and more.

The National Center for State Courts has worked along side the Center of Excellence on Elder Abuse and Neglect at the University of California, Irvine School of Medicine.

The National Center for State Courts helps administer projects on elder law such as Elder Justice Centers (EJCs) and Elder Protection Courts.
