Program Description


"Share your love of books and exchange ideas in this intergenerational book club for seniors and schoolchildren. Participants read the same book, then gather at a school or at DOROT's headquarters on the Upper West Side to discuss the book. A facilitator leads the discussion."

Building Closure into Your Practice - End of Life Care for Physicians Training - The Jewish Healthcare Foundation teaching physicians the communication skills, medical principles, and techniques needed to improve the care that they provide for patients with life-limiting illnesses.

Elder's Family Learning Initiative Program - Training classes to assist families coping with the long-term care system allowing seniors to live in comfort, greater independence, dignity and in an environment based on Jewish values.

DOROT Kosher Meals for the Homebound Program
- Home delivery of nutritious kosher senior meals to elderly in New York.

DOROT's programs are open to all seniors.
