Program Description
"Kosher Meals for the Homebound, for seniors who have difficulty shopping and cooking, DOROT home-delivers nutritious, frozen glatt kosher meals every week. Seniors choose from a wide-ranging menu including accommodations for a low-salt diet, then heat and eat at a convenient time. Volunteers make weekly contact with clients to establish their menu choices."

Volunteers make weekly contact with clients to establish their menu choices and includes choices promoting healthy elderly nutrition. Holiday deliveries are also made on the Sundays before Rosh Hashanah, Chanukah and Passover.
Shabbos Meals, traditional Sabbath foods are also delivered to seniors’ homes every Thursday.
DOROT provides intergenerational social activities and services for the elderly to help them live independently as possible. DOROT serves the Jewish community and all other communities.

DOROT Cemetary Visits Program - Volunteer escorts accompany seniors to visit the gravesites of loved ones in cemeteries and assist with emotional support. The DOROT organization is made up of a majority of Jewish seniors, volunteers, and contributors however all are always welcome.
