Program Description
The “Civic Engagement For 50+ Immigrants And Refugees” Program is appropriate for ethnic-based community organizations and any other agencies that would like to focus on increasing community involvement or number of volunteers.
Some of the goals of the “Civic Engagement For 50+ Immigrants And Refugees” Program is to:
-Appreciate uniqueness of foreign-born seniors
-Create senior volunteer opportunities
-Engage and support foreign-born elders so that they are confident in taking on civic roles
