Program Description
“Cohousing communities consist of private, fully-equipped dwellings and extensive common amenities including a common house and recreation areas. The common house is the very heart of a cohousing community. It provides a place for community activities such as common dinners, and numerous other organized formal and informal activities.”

Mosaic Village members share resources and tasks, foster life-long learning and provide a rich living experience. This community is developed within a socially, economically and environmentally responsible setting that enhances our own lives and the quality of life for the surrounding community.”

Cohousing aims to strike a balance between privacy and community.
Intergenerational relationships formed can help community members with carrying out tasks such as elders watching and spending time with children, adults helping seniors with errands and chores and the added sense of safety and security provided at home and within the community.
Residents are encouraged to be involved in the design, development and decision making.
