Program Description
Under the "Geriatric Social Work Initiative" Program, the "Faculty Scholars" Program trains academic leaders to teach and mentor the next generation of social workers to provide support and therapy to seniors.
The "Doctoral Fellows" Program recruits and sustains talented doctoral students in geriatric social work.
"National Center for Gerontological Social Work Education - Gero-Ed Center" prepares faculty and student leaders with the knowledge and skills to enhance lives of senior citizens and their families through support and therapy. The "Geriatric Social Work Initiative" Program is collaborating with social work programs, organizations and other funders around the country to prepare needed, aging-savvy social workers and improve the care and well-being of older adults and their families.
