Program Description

The Leadership and Advocacy Training Program provides the following tools to promote senior contributions and community involvement:

-Tool kits on how to effectively advocate
-Leadership training sessions
-Publications
-Membership in the social action coalition of the Jewish Association Serving the Aging (JPAC)
-Technical support

The Jewish Association Serving the Aging has a wide range of senior services.

Legal representation and consultation for seniors is available in the areas of:

-Evictions
-Foreclosures
-Legal guardianship
-SSI and Social Security
-Medicaid and Medicare eligibility
-Financial management
-Food stamps
-Elder abuse
-Needs of frail elderly

Senior Classes and Education:

-College-level courses
-Workshops
-Lectures
-Computer labs
-Concerts

Senior Meals:

-Home Delivered Senior Meals
-Group Meals
-Passover Seders
