Program Description

SafetyNet Wireless offers seniors and others who qualify for the for the Federal Government Lifeline Program by the Federal Communications Commission help to pay for phone and internet service.

Free cell phone for seniors and services are granted on either an income-based eligibility at 135% below the poverty line or on program-based eligibility such as participation in the following approved government programs:

-CalFresh, Food Stamps or Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP)
-Medicaid/Medi-Cal
-Healthy Families Category A
-Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP)
-Supplemental Security Income (SSI)
-and others


Seniors and others who qualify for the Federal Government Lifeline Program by the Federal Communications Commission receive a free phone along with free Talk, Text, and Data.source: safetynetwireless.com, fcc.gov
